POMO is listed as a Green Mark building by BCA (Building & Construction Authority) of Singapore. BCA Green Mark Scheme was launched in January 2005 as an initiative to shape a more environmentally friendly and sustainable built environment.
I was at POMO this morning to sketch with Tony and Eugene. Nearby there was construction going on so are getting the familiar noise of drilling and hammering, which is not unusual in Singapore.
The trip was made in the month of Feb. The Bangkok sketchers group has invited sketchers from a few countries to join them in sketching at River Chaophraya, where the old capital of Bangkok was located in the past. Though it has been some time ago, the memories of the visit is still quite fresh in my mind. It was a happy trip and I am looking forward to another trip like this. Anyway here are 2 sketches I did while I was there. Cannot remember the name of the place though.

I love Van Gogh and I wanted to have a toy made of him so I painted a medium sized Munny in the likeness of one of Van Gogh's self portrait. It is now being shown ay Fullerton Hotel as one of the exhibits that pay tribute to Van Gogh's life as an artist. This Munny is sold already. I am sad to part ways with it. Time to make another.
When you decided to stay indoor indefinitely to escape the scorching heat in the day, the best thing to do is to sketch what you have in the house... here are my liquor and ink collection. What do they have in common you ask. They give me pleasure.
One good thing about bringing your spouse who doesn't sketch or paint to a sketching or painting trip is, he or she can help to carry the stuff while you find inspiration.
