My attempt to add satire to the lingerie adverts seen in the streets.

We had a smaller group this time round, Tia, Joel, Noel, Madhu, Parka, Joyce and myself with my wife, Kat. We did not start till about 10plus in the morning but I managed to finish a colored piece and another with just the line work. At about 1pm we headed out to a Swedish Restaurant for lunch and sharing session.

The above illustrations are for City Square's (Novena) events during Christmas last year in 2010. The top for was for a press-ad (poster) and the bottom for a backdrop used for the stage performance.

This was my second attempt to sketch and paint this temple that is found along Keong Siak Road. I used pastel paper instead and my all time favourite Hero fountain pen for the outlines. Then I added watercolor. Pastel paper does not hold the colors well so the colors appear kind of washed out when dried. Finally I added white pastel for the sky to create the contrast between the foreground and the background. Worked well on the colored pastel paper and I love the result.
